Dubrovnik Lounge & Lobby, Eerikinkatu 11
Time to party hard! The Saturday Night Club of the Comics Festival offers relaxed atmosphere in the traditional Dubrovnik lobby & lounge. Andorra’s theatre is once again festival’s official photo shoot point: Henry Söderlund, the preferred photographer of the festival, once again will take legendary shots of the festival’s party people, and this year’s theme is, naturally, metalheads! The music of the evening is served up by DJ Kuraattori Paalanen and the live band Tyrantti!
Tyrantti, that speeded to the awareness of heavy rock lovers with the single Tulipyörä in the summer of 2017, is a fucking dangerous heavy trio in leather with no good intentions. On May 31, the band released a new single Kobra, that rose directly to Spotify’s relevant playlists and received praise from the media. Soundi magazine has put the Finnish singing band on its ”Top right now” list three times. This top knot of mustache heavy is currently recording its debut album that will see the daylight in late 2018. Apart from tours in the fathers’ land, the band has galloped its wagon three times in the Baltic countries.
Live, Tyrantti offers ruthless riffs, flying kicks, and singing tones hit high. Beware of Tyrantti.
Tickets 5 € (incl. cloakroom) Let’s ride!
September 2, 7 PM – 2 AM
Restaurant Sörkan Ruusu, Pääskylänrinne 3
Everything good will come to an end, but before that you should take a while to sit back and spend the best time with friends and good music at the Final Club of Comics Festival in restaurant Sörkän Ruusu. In addition to the official festival beer, Sörkän Ruusu offers a wide selection of beers, ciders, wines and small snacks.
There is also Tommi Musturi’s Future festival exhibition set on the walls of the restaurant, which is worth checking out at this point.
The Final Club’s music is presented by DJ Esa Vilectron ja asiallinen message, as well as the pop band Maustetytöt!
Maustetytöt is a Finnish pop band of two sisters. Their sound is based on melodic, inventive pop pieces that continue to play in your head. The stories tell about work and unemployment, simultaneous shortage and superfluity, growing inside and growing plants, even berry picking. They are fleeting thoughts marked on the flip side of Department of Labor sheets, when there’s a bottle of cough medicine ahead and too many sleepless nights on the back. The flavor of Maustetytöt is somewhat akin to Noitalinna Huraa!, Leevi & The Leavings, and perhaps PMMP. The sisters from the countryside are an uncompromising punk attitude itself, a people’s pop band.
