Alicia Warhola (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1993) has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of La Laguna. She started her career in the animation, video game and advertising studio 4d3, creating mobile apps and animation campaigns. Together with scriptwriter Alby Ojeda and programmer Jacobo Caraballo, she developed the children’s application Exploring Space: Little Prince edition.
In 2017, she entered another video game studio, Boombox, where she worked as an animator, web designer and concept artist. At the same time, she began to collaborate with the publishing house Le Canarien, specializing in books on the History of the Canary Islands. She has published eight books so far, two of which are Benahoare, my land (on the history of the island of La Palma) and Little Óscar Domínguez about the well-known Tenerife painter.
She has participated in the comic anthologies You are not alone, vol 4 (GrayHaven comics), Spiders and Stardust: David Bowie tribute (Firelight comic) and Diferente (Planet Comic). She has also worked as an illustrator for advertising and poster campaigns, highlighting the campaign of Antonio Morales, current president of Cabido de Gran Canaria (Spain) for 2019 and the poster for the XVII International Comic and Illustration Salon of Tenerife, where she also makes his first solo exhibition.
In 2020, together with the screenwriter Diego G. Reinfeld, she published his first book at the national level, There is a new child in class (Nuevo Nueve) and, in 2021, Two rare on vacation (La Galera), written by Jordi Sierra i Fabra.
She currently combines her work as a concept artist in the series Meteo Heroes (Mondo TV) with that of a freelance illustrator.
