A comic was born from the collaboration between comics artist Hannele Richert and journalist Mari Lukkari. Why is the extreme right and right-wing populism gaining in popularity everywhere? Lukkari traveled to Germany to look for answers as to why this is happening especially in the former East Germany.  In addition to socio-economic reasons, the answer was found in the politics of history; what story is told about the past. With a Finnish restaurant involved, Finnish military history joined the conversation as well. As in history politics in general, activists played an essential role.
