Marijpol (b. 1982) is a german comic artist, illustrator and designer living in Hamburg. Her comics have appeared in magazines and anthologies such as Lagon Revue, Mould Map, and Colorama Clubhouse. A storyteller at heart, she works in various visual styles and narrative formats, aiming to create tension between the ordinary and the unusual by seeking out weirdness in beauty. Most recently, Marijpol released Hort (2022), a graphic novel that explores themes of friendship, caregiving, and exceptional bodies.
