Sanna Hukkanen is a comic artist and illustrator from Joensuu. Her latest book, Taiga – EtnoGraafinen matkakertomus (Taiga – Ethnographic travelogue), travels the reader to Russia, into the world of the Finno-Ugric people, beyond an impassable border. Hukkanen has also created illustrations for books, magazines, guides and posters, and her work has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions. She believes in the power of comic art as a tool for change.
