Saskia Gullstrand is a comic artist who creates dark and tender short stories about love, siblinghood and violence. Her way of writing and drawing comics is strongly inspired by narrative film. In her work, she experiments with how visual composition and montage techniques affect comics storytelling and the emotional engagement of the reader. She is educated at the Comics School in Malmö, Sweden and has taught comics, riso printmaking and storytelling at Malmö university. She lives and works in Malmö.
