Jukka Tilsa (b. 1961) is a draftsman-farmer from Eräjärvi in ​​Orivesi. Tilsa has published comics since the late 70s, first in self-publishing, then in newspapers and magazines, and as albums. In the 2020s, Tilsa has made comics especially for children based on Teemu Palosaari’s poems.

Teemu Palosaari is a children’s poet and editor, scriptwriter, and director of YLE’s children’s programmes. Palosaari’s and Jukka Tilsa’s collaborative poetry comic work Runoja lapsille ja muille älyköille (“Poems for children and other intellectuals,” Suuri Kurpitsa) received the 2022 Tampere city literature award. The book’s sequel will be published this summer.
