Andreas Gefe is a Swiss illustrator and comics artist with an international reputation. He has published five graphic novels in German, with three of them translated into French. In 2019 Gefe spent four months in New York City where he met Julian Voloj by pure coincidence. (Not) a New York Love Story was honored with the Comic Prize of the Swiss–German cities. Gefe is also a painter by passion. Gefe creates a lot of his illustrational work with acrylic on cardboard, and he frequently works on his own, personal projects. His latest one is the series Carnets de Voyage which is, besides the comic originals, shown at the festival.
