DOES YOUR PUG DREAM ABOUT THE END OF THE WORLD?
A pug named Lihis travels with his master in a post-apocalyptic world. Humanity has survived the ultimate disaster, but the expectations for the future are still bleak. The final collapse is on the horizon. Although the world as we know it has changed, a dog’s life has not. Lihis lives in the moment, he doesn’t think about the past or worry about the future. Life is here and now.
The exhibition DOES YOUR PUG DREAM ABOUT THE END OF THE WORLD? in the Vallila brewery gallery presents Marko Turunen’s drawings and photographs with the pug Lihis as the main subject. The dog acts as a contrast to the decaying world and a large number of unusual characters. Marko Turunen is artist and illustrator from Kotka, who has been awarded the Finnish Comics Society’s Puupää hat.
