In their comic Madame Choi and the Monsters (Edition Moderne, 2022), Berlin-based comic artists Sheree Domingo and Patrick Spät tell a true crime story: the abduction of South Korean actress Choi Eun-hee to North Korea in 1978. Linked to this, the comic tells the story of an iron-eating, ever-growing monster called Bulgasari. The associated exhibition shows original drawings of the comic as well as handmade ceramic sculptures of the monster.
