Fernando Dagnino Guerra osallistuu Helsingin sarjakuvafestivaaleihin etävieraana.
Fernando Dagnino Guerra will take part in Helsinki Comics Festival programme as a remote guest.
At the age of five, Fernando Dagnino Guerra (Madrid, 1973) told his parents he wanted to be a comic book artist. Nobody took it seriously at the time, but after he finished his studies of English literature and linguistics he decided to follow his heart from then on.
In 1997 he worked as a GuestDisney Imagineer in L.A in the design of an attraction for DisneyQuest in Disney World Florida. After working for a short time in the design of BLADE, a video game for Rebel Act, he went on working as an illustrator for juvenile books, magazines and several publicity agencies such as McCann.
In 2007 he wrote and drew his first graphic novel for youngsters KASANDRA y la Rebelion and a year later he signed his first contract with DC comics. For six years he worked as penciller first and then penciller / inker in such series as Superman, Supergirl, Batman and the Outsiders, Wonder Woman, Teen Titans, Justice League, Resurrection Man and Suicide Squad.
After DC Comics, it was the turn of Dark Horse where he landed in 2014, taking over the series Captain Midnight and Tarzan on the planet of the Apes.
His next decision in 2016 led him to work on a solo project. Dedicating two years of his life and accepting the work of both scriptwriter and artist, his project crystallized as the album Smart Girl, which has been published by Editions Reflexions in France and Panini Comics in Spain.
Three years after that experience, he finished the pencils for the album L’AGENT published by Glenat and the Killer miniseries, a Valiant Entertainment header.
Currently he is working for Titan comics and Alcon entertainment in the series BLADE RUNNER ORIGINS, a comic book prequel to the original movie. He is also working on his second personal project; a dark magic thriller named Winter Queen which will be published by Glenat.
