JANNE & PEKKA PARVIAINEN

Janne and Pekka Parviainen are artist brothers whose collaborative comic, Susitaival, depicts the realisation of a long-held hiking dream. The comic is scripted based on the experiences and notes from a five-day trekking journey, with both artists alternating as illustrators, acting as two different observers navigating the path toward their shared goal. The work is suitable for anyone interested in hiking, forest walking, and Finnish nature. It explores the current state of Finland’s natural environment and forest management, as well as the health and philosophical aspects of moving in nature.
