Ville Ranta is a comics artist, editorial cartoonist for Helsingin Sanomat, and one of the founders of the publishing house Asema. His latest works are the graphic novel Viininjuojat (Wine Drinkers, WSOY, 2024) and the comic essay Lähtökohtia karkumatkalle (Starting Points for an Escape, Asema, 2025). Ranta is originally from Oulu and lives in Töölö.
