Mari Ahokoivu (born 1984) is a comics artist and illustrator from Oulu. She is known for many children’s book illustrations as well as her graphic novel Oksi (Asema, 2018). Ahokoivu’s latest publication, Avaruudessa kuolemisen haasteita (Challenges of Dying in Space), will be released at the Helsinki Comics Festival (Asema, 2025). The Finnish Comics Society awarded Ahokoivu the Puupäähattu Award in 2023. Ahokoivu lives in Copenhagen and works within the Kulkælderen studio collective.
