Kivi Larmola (b. 1966 in Helsinki) is a Finnish comics artist, scriptwriter, illustrator, and author of over 25 books. He has lived in the UK, France, Germany, and Italy, and for the last decade in Tallinn, Estonia. He has gained the Puupäähattu award (the highest honorarium for a Finnish comics artist) in 1991, the Kielihelmi award for commendable use of Finnish, and the Qualified by Experience certification for his work expertise and his cinematographic work on several international movie festivals in 2010. Larmola is a member of the Union of Finnish Writers, the Estonian Writers’ Union, the Sarjakuvantekijät association of Finnish comics artists, and the Estonian Artists’ Association.
