In one way or another, darkness has always been an integral part of Tuoni Myllylä’s comics, be it about the dark depths of the human mind or the stark contrast between black and white in their inking. Darkness makes our inner demons grow to a grotesk scale, but the characters from the stories are also depicted with warm grey tones, and the raw and honest humanism is always there to be found. Embrace these dark hues and come visit Tuoni Myllylä’s exhibition on September at Myymälä2 as a part of the Helsinki Comics Festival 2025. Welcome!
