Hanna Kukko (born 1995) is a comics artist and art teacher from Oulu. She is originally from Tampere and has studied comics art in the United States at Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Kukko has previously published an autobiographical comic book titled Unetkin synkronoituu! (Zum Teufel, 2023), and her upcoming work Katso eläintä, which critically examines meat consumption and human-animal relationships through magical realism, is set to be released in fall 2025 (Zum Teufel). For Hanna Kukko, comics are a way to express and reflect on strong emotions and to highlight social issues.
