Matti Nieminen (born 1948) has worked as a dramaturg at various theatres and has served as a government official for the state art agency. He has written several plays and adapted numerous theatrical scripts. His first comic book screenplay is Väinö I Suomen kuningas (2018), illustrated by Anssi Rauhala. In spring 2025, he co-published Aikovat vallata Suomen with Daniel Stolle.
