My own land is a strawberry, another land is a blueberry, the rowan tree is sacred.
The work group Mixpihlaja’s exhibition “Myrtillum et Fragum” talks about blueberries and strawberries, transformation, and impermanence. It consists of comics originals, drawings, and small installations.
The comics art group Mixpihlaja, consisting of Hannele Richert and Amanda Vähämäki, combines a slightly skewed view of the world and the need to tell stories through comics about things others might not notice.
The exhibition is on display at restaurant Sörkan Ruusu during September 2026. The small publications Myrtillum (Vähämäki) and Fragum (Richerti) will be released in connection with the exhibition as sister works in Sörkan Ruusu’s comics vending machine Sarjakuva-automaatti.
