Posy Simmonds (born 1945) is one of the most respected and internationally acclaimed comics artists in the United Kingdom. Her works often satirise middle-class life. Simmonds’s most famous works include the literary-inspired Gemma Bovery (translated into Finnish in 2026), Tamara Drewe (2007), and Cassandra Darke (2018). She has also written and illustrated several children’s books and published collections of her drawings.
