As part of the Creative Europe programme, Finnish Comics Society, Le Musée de la bande dessinée (in France), Polskie Stowarzyszenie Komiksowe Polskie (in Poland), and Lucca Crea (in Italy) launched a collaborative project in January 2023 with the aim of introducing European webtoons to the general public. The working group organised a competition through which ten selected projects were awarded. The awarded artists are Monika Filipiak, Charles Manalt, Tomer Calacuda, Sebastijan Camagajevac, Claudia Razzoli, Igor Baranko, Andrea Tridico, Sari Sariola, Tuomas Myllylä, and Elena Mazzucato. Helsinki Comics Festival is now proud to present the award-winning works to festival audiences at the Cable Factory.
