International Batman Day is celebrated on the first day of Helsinki Comics Festival. Saturday night culminates at visitors expressing their inner Batman in the Batman speech karaoke event organised at Korjaamon Vintti.

Speech Karaoke works the same as traditional karaoke, but instead of choosing a song, the performer chooses a speech. Karaoke-goers can listen to others’ speeches in a relaxed atmosphere or try how it feels to interpret someone’s speech themselves.

DJ Buugiekalle

DJ Buugiekalle plays smooth vinyl music from past, present and future decades — well, at least the past ones. The retro-inspired selection of tunes sets the mood with the power of soul, disco, funk and off-track Finnish hits. Buugiekalle is well known from the limelight of Bar Loose’s monthly Buugieklubi, and the groove at Helsinki Comics Festival will certainly not be any less funky.
