The Helsinki Comics Festival brings together comic book lovers!
The festival has a number of free happenings for both children and adults. The Helsinki Comics Festival offers public interviews with invited guests, panel discussions, performances, workshops and sales events for both larger publishing houses and small press creators.
Over the years, the festival has been visited by, among others, Will Eisner, Willem, Moebius, Marjane Satrapi, Morris, Joakim Pirinen, Dave McKean, Lise Myhre, Kate Charlesworth, Lilli Carré, Zoe Thorogood, Bryan and Mary Talbot and Paul Gravett, along with Finnish comics artists.

Kids’ Comics Fest on sunday!
Kids’ Comics Fest on Sunday! Kids’ Comic Festival, organised for the second time, will take place on Sunday, September 21, 2025, on the balcony of the the Merikaapelihalli hall at the Cable Factory. The program includes discussions with comic artists about children’s horror comics and fantasy. The day will also feature face painting, cooking, and storyboard workshops. Festival artist Roope Eronen has created the visual identity for the festival. The application for exhibitors at Kids’ Comics Fest is now open!
