2026 Helsinki Comics Festival was held at Cultural Centre Stoa for the first time!
The Helsinki Comics Festival was held on September 19–20, 2026, at Stoa Cultural Centre in East Helsinki. Kids’ Comics Fest took place on Friday, September 18.
The theme of the year was Together, and the festival artist was Emilia Laatikainen.
A total of 7,000 visitors attended the festival over the weekend.

Kids have their own comics fest!
The children’s own comics event Kids’ Comics Fest is being organised for the third time in September! The free event, aimed at children, will take place on September 18, 2026 at Cultural Centre Stoa.
The Helsinki Comics Festival brings together comic book lovers!
The festival has a number of free happenings for both children and adults. The Helsinki Comics Festival offers public interviews with invited guests, panel discussions, performances, workshops and sales events for both larger publishing houses and small press creators.
Over the years, the festival has been visited by, among others, Will Eisner, Willem, Moebius, Marjane Satrapi, Morris, Joakim Pirinen, Dave McKean, Lise Myhre, Kate Charlesworth, Lilli Carré, Zoe Thorogood, Bryan and Mary Talbot and Paul Gravett, along with Finnish comics artists.
