The Finnish Comics Artists’ Association, Sarjakuvantekijät ry, celebrates its 30th anniversary. The organisation was officially registered on September 18, 1996. Finnish professional comics artists had been meeting since 1992 under the name Ammattijaosto, which eventually led to the founding of the association. Since 1998, Sarjakuvantekijät ry has been awarding grants to comics artists. Current and former active members will reflect on the association’s history and perhaps share visions for its future.
