Sanni ja Joonas is a popular Finnish comic book series for children, illustrated by Mari Ahokoivu and written by Kalle Hakkola. The books describe the daily lives of five-year-old Sanni and her seven-year-old older brother Joonas, where ordinary events turn into colourful adventures through vivid imagination.

The latest part of the Sanni ja Joonas series, Iltapäiväkerho (Afternoon Club), is a collection of one-page stories published in the Koululainen magazine. Iltapäiväkerho introduces a large number of new characters as the story focuses on the activities of the school’s after-school club. The stories are diverse in their themes and touch upon issues relevant to children in school today.
