Ukrainian Comics During the War (Ivan Kypibida, Liliia Omelianenko, Eliash Strongowski, Sophia Suliy, Yulia Vus, mod. Aino Sutinen) (ENG)

The festival exhibition, in support of Ukraine, was created by Ukrainian and Finnish comics artists in cooperation. Vydavnytstvo publishing house specialises in creating new Ukrainian comics (maliopys) and social themes. The most widely known Ukrainian graphic novel is A Brief History of a Long War (2025), out in 11 languages so far, illustrated by Ivan Kypibida and Yulia Vus. Aino Sutinen interviews the artists and publishers. The programme is supported by Culture Moves Europe
